Information we collect and how we use it

We collect only the personal information necessary to deliver our coloring sheets, generate custom products, process store orders, and provide customer support.

Browsing and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our site: which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the type of device and browser, the website that referred you, and your approximate location (city or region), which Google estimates from your IP address. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) so it can recognize a returning browser. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, so this data is not used to show you ads or linked to a Google account, and we use it only in aggregate to improve the site. Google processes it as our service provider; you can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can opt out by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser, by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by turning on Global Privacy Control (GPC). When your browser sends a GPC signal, our site does not load Google Analytics at all.

Our site runs on servers we operate, behind Cloudflare, which provides HTTPS encryption and network protection. When it is turned on, our contact and newsletter forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated spam and abusive submissions without relying on intrusive tracking captchas.

Free photo-to-coloring tool

When you use our free browser-based photo conversion tool, image processing occurs locally on your personal device in your web browser and is never uploaded to our servers, unless you pick the optional AI line art, which sends that photo to our server and Google’s Gemini to draw it and is not kept.

Custom coloring book orders

When you order a custom coloring book, you email us your photos after accepting our quote. We use them only to make your book, and delete them 30 days after we deliver it.

Custom posters and canvases

When you order a coloring poster or canvas, your browser turns your photo into line art and uploads that drawing (not your original photo) to our storage, where we make the print file for our print partner, Printful. Uploads, previews and print files are deleted automatically 30 days after upload; Printful keeps the print file with your order so it can remake a damaged item. We never use customer photos in marketing materials or public galleries without explicit written permission.

Store purchases and payment processing

When you place a store order for physical merchandise or pay a quote for a custom coloring book, we collect your name, email address, shipping address (for physical orders), and optional phone number. Payment card details are submitted directly to Stripe through secure, encrypted checkout fields or payment links. We never receive, process, or store full credit card numbers on our servers. Where applicable, Stripe Tax calculates state and local sales tax at checkout based on your delivery address.

Email communications and newsletter

We use Cloudflare Email Service to send transactional emails, including order receipts, shipping confirmations, account notices, newsletter confirmations, and customer support responses. If you voluntarily subscribe to our email newsletter, we collect your email address through a double opt-in verification process. Every marketing email includes an immediate unsubscribe link. We never sell, rent, or trade email subscriber lists.

Third-party service providers

We share necessary data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform:

• Stripe: Payment processing and sales tax compliance
• Printful: Print-on-demand fulfillment partner that receives your shipping name, delivery address, optional phone number, and ordered item details to manufacture and ship physical goods
• Cloudflare Email Service: Transactional email delivery and double opt-in newsletter distribution
• Cloudflare: Global CDN infrastructure, network protection, and (when turned on) Turnstile form security
• Google Analytics: Aggregate website traffic analytics (Google signals and ad personalization turned off)

Cookies and tracking technologies

Apart from the Google Analytics cookies described above, AI Print Works does not use tracking cookies, targeting cookies, or third-party marketing beacons. Your shopping cart is saved in your browser’s local storage rather than in a cookie. Our payment and form-security providers, such as Stripe and Cloudflare Turnstile, may set their own strictly necessary security or fraud-prevention cookies when you check out or submit a form. We do not use advertising cookies. You can opt out by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser, by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by turning on Global Privacy Control (GPC). When your browser sends a GPC signal, our site does not load Google Analytics at all.

Data retention practices

We retain customer information according to clear schedules:

• Order financial records: Retained as required by applicable tax, accounting, and commercial reporting laws
• Custom coloring book photos: deleted 30 days after we deliver the book
• Poster and canvas uploads, previews and print files: deleted automatically 30 days after upload
• Free tool images: processed in your browser and never sent to us, unless you choose the optional AI line art, which sends that photo to our server and Google’s Gemini to draw it and is not kept
• Contact form messages: Kept until your inquiry is fully resolved, after which routine cleanups remove old correspondence
• Newsletter email subscriptions: Retained until you click the unsubscribe link or submit an opt-out request

Your privacy rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states with comprehensive privacy legislation, you may have specific statutory rights regarding your personal information:

• The right to know what personal data we collect, use, and disclose
• The right to access and receive a portable copy of your personal data
• The right to correct inaccurate personal information
• The right to request the deletion of your personal data, subject to legal recordkeeping exemptions
• The right to be free from discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise your privacy rights, email your request to [email protected]. We verify requests using the email address associated with your store account or prior correspondence.

Children’s privacy

AI Print Works provides family-friendly creative materials, but our website and store are directed to adults, parents, and educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately so we can remove the information from our systems.
