A stretched canvas made for paint
The canvas is a poly-cotton blend with a fabric weight of 10.15 ± 0.74 oz/yd² (344 g/m² ± 25 g/m²), hand-stretched over 1.25-inch (3.18 cm) solid wood stretcher bars. Mounting brackets are included, so the finished piece can hang without an outer frame. The print is fade-resistant, and the black line art sits on a white ground.
Three sizes are available: 8″×10″, 12″×16″, and 16″×20″.
Paint, not pencil
The textured poly-cotton surface is made for acrylic paint and acrylic paint pens. Acrylic covers the weave and dries to a permanent finish; paint pens let you work smaller details or sign a corner. Wax crayons and ordinary colored pencils are not the right medium for this surface because they sit on top of the weave rather than filling it.
Work in thin layers and let each layer dry. Acrylic paint can be thinned slightly with water for a wash, but too much water can soften the canvas surface. Keep the stretcher bars dry and paint with the canvas flat or on an easel.
How the photo becomes a canvas drawing
Upload a JPG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC photo on the product page. Choose Simple, Medium, or Detailed line work and switch Thicker lines on if you want a bolder outline that is easier to paint up to with a brush. The browser preview shows the drawing at the selected canvas size before you add it to the cart.
A clear photo with one main subject and a plain background gives the most open shapes. A single pet, a person, or the front of a house works well; a busy garden or a crowded room creates many small lines that are harder to reach with a brush.
